Job Title: Operations Manager, ICCOM (Role until - 30 June 2021)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, this role is primarily responsible for providing leadership, supervision and management to the team of staff supporting COVID response coordination efforts. This position is responsible for managing regional and local service delivery for the CRC Directorate and is required to incorporate strategies to respond to issues impacting on the operational environment. 

The role is responsible for meeting operational requirements, stakeholder expectations and working within service delivery timelines.

The role works across the Directorate in both preparedness and operations depending on operational tempo and business requirements. Key response areas may include Operational Response; Policy and Communications; Integration; Capability.


  • Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area to achieve service delivery goals and expectations.
  • Manage, interpret and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues.
  • Resolve complex operational problems and issues being experienced by team members.
  • Operate within increased level of autonomy and accountability in delivering within broad strategic directions.
  • Lead diverse teams to deliver high quality operational and business outcomes
  • Make decisions that establish precedents.
  • Manage stakeholders through effective negotiation and influence.
  • Manage cross-functional delivery of departmental policies and services impacted by sensitive and complex issues.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
