About the role
The Team Leader is a hands on position that will accept a position of responsibility in the facility and will supervise and coordinates the work of Care staff. The Team leader will ensure that work is completed in an efficient and thorough manner whilst advocating a resident centred approach. The Team Leader will play a hands on role in the care of residents, working alongside care and clinical staff to attend to medication, toileting, showering, feeding and dressing residents.
We are currently seeking an experienced Care Team Leader on a permanennt full time basis for our Muswellbrook facility.
What you bring
- Cert IV in Aged Care
- Medication competency: CHCCS305C Assist Clients with Medication and are HLTAP301B Recognise healthy body systems in a health care setting
- Apply First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing ability
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated empathy and patience with the older person
- Demonstrated respect for residents’ privacy, dignity, esteem and choice
- Demonstrated high standard of verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to a Person-Centred model of care provision
- A clear understanding of and personal commitment to the Mission, Values and Vision of Calvary Retirement Communities
- Current influenza Immunisation
