Looking to work with a team whose purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community?

We are working with the leading rural health service who provide allied, acute, subacute, primary and residential aged care in the Grampians region of Victoria

You will be working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate safe clinical skills and time management skills whilst working collaboratively as an active team member within a framework of continuous quality improvement and economic resource utilisation.

About the Role

In this role you will be joining a team dedicated to delivering a higher standard of support and care for mothers to be and their newborns. The multidisciplinary team of experienced obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff, lactation consultants and allied health professionals work together to ensure a comfortable and confident experience – before, during and after pregnancy.

As a member of the clinical team you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients within the Ward.

In this role you will report to the Nursing Unit Manager – Midwifery.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Midwife. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The flexibility to work a rotating shifts along with weekend and evening shifts will be key for this role.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
  • 3 years’ experience or more as a Midwife in an acute care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Dual RM/RN registration highly regarded
