Your new team

  • The WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at the Doherty Institute has been designated as one of only five Collaborating Centres for Viral Hepatitis globally.
  • We are a dynamic team and perform a broad range of activities supporting global control of viral hepatitis, including basic research and reference virology, surveillance, treatment and prevention initiatives, epidemiological research, and training and capacity building.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Undergo epidemiological analysis on a large and complex longitudinal linked dataset, and other ad hoc data analysis as needed within the statistical software Stata
  • Liaise effectively with data custodians, ethics committees, project collaborators and other stakeholders
  • Plan, draft and review presentations, reports and publications relating to this work
  • Work with respect and cultural sensitivity in a spirit of partnership with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people who inject drugs

Your Contribution

  • You can demonstrate a high level of competence in managing large complex datasets and conducting longitudinal analysis
  • You have experience in confidential and ethical handling of sensitive information
  • You have excellent communication skills, including dissemination of research findings and engagement with stakeholders
