We have an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join our team at Aveo Freedom Aged Care Clayfield in Clayfield, QLD.

As our Cook, you will be assist with day-to-day catering operations and help to deliver, high quality, healthy meals to our residents.
You will be comfortable working with a restaurant setting and passionate about delivering a "Five Star" dining experience to our residents.

About the role:

  • Casual position available
  • Casual loading and weekend penalty rates may apply
Your responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring daily quality meal service to residents and visitors of the surrounding Aveo Retirement Community
  • Restaurant services - overseeing both food and service elements
  • Daily monitoring of food safety and general OH&S
  • Total stock management including ordering, stock rotation, stock taking etc.
  • Meeting with clients, customers and other support staff to ensure all required outcomes are met
  • Managing maintenance of kitchen equipment
About you:
  • Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
  • Retirement / Aged Care industry experience (desirable)
  • Hold a current Police check clearance
  • Thorough knowledge of catering principles and their application
  • Able to motivate, develop and direct people as they work
  • Demonstrated ability to work within OH&S and continuous improvement environment
