OT Dynamics and Dynamic Kids was one of the first practices set up in Ballarat 19 years ago to meet the needs of the community. Since being established they have developed a strong reputation for providing quality Allied Health services to individuals & organisations helping them to achieve their goals and independence.

This is an exciting opportunity for both an Adult and Paediatric OT to join their team of passionate staff who have established a safe fun supportive working environment and pride themselves on using up-to-date research and best practice.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide assessment and intervention to clients, including the provision of support to community-based clients to maintain or improve functional abilities, independence, participation in daily activities and to promote inclusion and integration in the community.

The Adult role will work with predominantly neurological and intellectual disability clients and some aged care with complex medical conditions. This is a community-based position with services being provided in the home and the community and includes the prescription of equipment and home modifications and developing and implementing training packages to clients' carers and families.

The Paediatric OT caseload is primarily NDIS clients aged between 0-16 years with a range of presentations such as ASD, global delay, CP. You will deliver early childhood intervention services to children and families, offering a Key Worker model as required. The service is clinic-based with treatment options provided at the school and in-home as required. Treatment is very flexibly based depending upon the needs of the client and their family and will include group-based programs.

There is also the opportunity to provide outreach services to clients in regional areas such as Ararat, Horsham, St Arnaud, Hamilton, and Warrnambool.

All staff are provided with strong learning and development plans with monthly PD provided, and experienced OTs will take on supervision and mentoring for Grade 1 OTs.

This is an excellent opportunity for new Graduates as you will receive a 12-month pathway apprenticeship to develop your skills as a clinician. The process involves a scaffolded approach to learning, with observation and shadowing a therapist, completing assessments and reports under the guidance of a therapist, and gradually completing assessment independently with supervision.
