About the Role

The successful candidate will be providing a range of clinical care services to clients within the community setting, including support and guidance to staff, clients and carers. The role will also provide education to support workers in medication training, competencies, and health related issues to ensure client support is based on a model of wellness and enablement, ensuring current evidence-based practice is used.

We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience as a registered nurse in mentoring students and nursing staff, preferably community or hospital experience. This role will be part time (60 hours per fortnight) with hours and start times negotiable.

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA) as Registered Nurse and in possession of current license to practice
  • Demonstrated clinical experience and expertise working with clients within the community
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clients with complexed health issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, Competency Standards and Scope of Practice regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems to provide quality care
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously and together with a team focus to contribute to clinical objectives
  • Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance
