What You Will Be Doing

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the team in our Aged Persons Mental Health Unit (Carinya), located in Capel Sound. In this role, you will work closely within the Carinya interdisciplinary team to maximise the physical potential of residents to achieve optimum independence and quality of life.

The Grade 2 Physiotherapists will provide appropriate assessment, treatment and re-evaluation for the residents at Carinya to ensure their care needs are met and to comply with the requirements of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)

What You Need

We anticipate that you will have:
• Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
• Demonstrated ability to competently perform high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and revaluation for aged care populations
• Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous innovative improvement through quality and research activities
• Willingness to engage in training to have a thorough understanding of relevant aged care frameworks and funding models
• Previous experience working in a residential aged care facility, along with a sound understanding of the National, Community Care and Aged Care Standards and ACFI
is desirable
