Safety and Support Practitioner 

Part Time - 32 hours per week 

Colac Area Health currently has an opportunity for a Safety and Support Hub Practitioner to join our Family and Community Programs 

The successful applicant will have;

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in social work, welfare or related field 
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the assessment of families with complex needs 
  • Experience in the assessment of family violence
  • Knowledge and understand of relevant legislation
  • Ability to provide child focussed confidential, flexible and responsive support in a variety of settings 
  • Experience in crisis management 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibility in the context of variable daily demands

Essential: Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in the context of variable daily workload demands
Essential: Experience in crisis management
Essential: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential: Knowledge of and ability to work with people from varying socio- economic and cultural backgrounds
Essential: Ability to work flexible hours as required
Essential: Knowledge of the Child Protection system
Essential: Willingness to participate in further training and professional development
Essential: Excellent interpersonal , written, verbal and computer literacy skills
Essential: Current Drivers Licence
