JOB DESCRIPTION
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef / Cook in one of our busy Aged Care facilities located at Murray Bridge in the Riverland working Sunday - Thursday. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of a range of services to our home.
This is a critical role and to lead the team in the kitchen, you will be need to demonstrate:
- Formal Chef Qualifications - Minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- A passion for great home style cooking
- Solid experience in a similar Aged Care position
- Knowledge of Texture Modified Diets including aged care IDDSI standards
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
- Thorough understanding of OH&S and Food Safety practices
- Strong leadership skills in leading and managing an aged care kitchen with support staff
- A high attention to detail with a hands on approach
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
