Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service is a third schedule, not-for-profit, teaching hospital funded by NSW Ministry of Health and managed by Catholic Healthcare. Lourdes has a long history of providing excellent care to Dubbo and the greater region. Our modern purpose built facility allows us to combine the latest technology with exceptional and compassionate Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and Pastoral Care.

Lourdes has 34 inpatient beds treating patients with a variety of health issues including assessment, rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management, transitional aged care programs and palliative care.

St Vincent’s Outreach is also athird schedule, not-for-profit service funded by NSW Ministry of Health and managed by Catholic Healthcare. St Vincent’s Outreach delivers a quality service to the Bathurst community in the areas of Aged Health and Community Nursing.

A rare opportunity has become available for a Health Services Manager to provide leadership & executive level management on all matters related to the administration and operations of both the Lourdes and St Vincent services.

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the executive and senior managers of the Western Local Health District to manage and ensure optimal care and governance of the services. The ability to maintain relationships with other key agencies and local communities is central to the ongoing successful operation of the service. This includes the NSW Ministry of Health, Local Government, other key health and community care providers, local educational institutions, Police and other government agencies to develop and implement services, systems and programs which improve health and well-being within the Local Government Areas.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience as part of a senior management team in health services;
  • Understanding and management of cross organisational complexities;
  • Solid, recent operational and organizational management experience
  • Proven competency in operational planning, strategic and innovative thinking
  • A proven track record in financial and HR management;
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and build relationships with community and other agency representatives;
  • Demonstrated capacity to successfully lead a diverse range of clinical and support staff with a commitment to improving access and co-ordination of services to patients across all services;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the health service industry and ability to apply that knowledge to achieve high standards of quality, effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of health services;
  •  Registered Nurse - essential
