Hi there, we're The Lookout Way, the software arm of our sister company, Five Good Friends who are Australia’s only technology-enabled, approved aged care and registered NDIS service provider. 

Our product, Lookout, was developed five years ago to power the end-to-end delivery of care for Five Good Friends. We’re now however entering an exciting phase of our organisation's growth as we spin off our software and philosophy of care into a stand-alone offering for other care businesses known as The Lookout Way.

What you’ll be doing…

You’ll be working as a Business Development Representative for our software, Lookout. You’ll partner with our small but growing commercial team to help build our customer portfolio. Reporting to our Head of Sales & Partnerships, you’ll be well supported on a day-to-day basis but be given the autonomy to get the job done in your own way.

As someone with business development experience, you won’t be afraid to do what it takes to get a foot in the door of a prospective customer. Working closely with our marketing team, you will be the primary point of contact for any inbound or new leads generated by marketing campaigns however you will also seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers from the very first contact. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth by performing the following tasks:

  • Prospect into target organisations via cold-calling, email, LinkedIn and marketing campaigns
  • Articulate The Lookout Way value proposition to decision-makers to assess awareness and evaluation of The Lookout Way offerings
  • Achieve or exceed goals and KPI’s
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions
  • Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of The Lookout Way solutions and clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to prospective customers
  • Feed information on The Lookout Way solution, competitors and market knowledge to Marketing
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Report to the Head of Sales & Partnerships on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results

Who you are…

You are a positive and proactive person seeking a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Whilst you’re happy to work independently, you’re a team player who is prepared to step outside of your day-to-day to support the business to achieve what it needs to.

Your experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot)
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field

This position is permanent and full-time. Depending on your skills and experience we're prepared to offer you a competitive salary made up of both base salary plus sales commission. You'll be provided with an Apple MacBook, iPhone and other necessary equipment to perform your job.
