  • Total Indicative Remuneration: $92,017 to $106,446 (pro rata) - Part-time - Temporary up to 30 June 2021 - AHP2
The AHP2 Exercise Physiologist is a member of the Ambulatory Rehabilitation Team ensuring optimal care and outcomes by providing a comprehensive range of clinical services to patients requiring rehabilitation (neurological, orthopaedic and reconditioning) through the Day Rehabilitation Service, or Repat Health Precinct. The Exercise Physiologist will adopt a rehabilitation approach in the provision of services as defined in “Statewide Rehabilitation Clinical Network Rehabilitation Generic Core Competencies Framework”.

Work in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team, to effectively plan and provide therapeutic interventions based on patient goals. This may involve consultation and liaison with the team, other professional disciplines and non-government organisations.

Be accountable for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.

As the AHP2 Exercise Physiologist you will be expected to negotiate your own formal clinical supervision arrangement, in accordance with the Local Health Network Allied Health Clinical Support Framework and engages in professional clinical supervision with the Advanced Clinical Lead to ensure clinical supervision is accessible to therapists working within Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services.

Assist in the provision and management of the service particularly in the areas of:
  • Improving discipline procedures and practices
  • Assisting with the development and application of relevant research
  • Quality Improvement projects
For appointment an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, usually in human movement, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective and eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA) will be required.
