About The Role
As a Resident Placement Consultant you will be responsible for developing relationships with the local Bupa Care Homes and working closely with them to optimise the leads to admission process. This will include the management of the enquiry, tour and sales. You will also be responsible for driving occupancy through actively seeking and fostering relationships with third party referrers to maximise admissions within care homes.
Duties
Facilitate the sales process through delivery of exceptional customer experience
Successfully convert tours to admissions through follow up and being available to customers to resolve their concerns and overcome their objections
Ensure smooth admission of respite and permanent residents by working closely with the General Manager and Business Administrator
Work with care home to ensure “first impressions” of home are at a high standard
To actively seek and foster potential client base in order to maximise admissions to Bupa facilities
Develop and maintain links with referrers and gatekeepers and promote Bupa within the greater community, including leveraging Bupa’s other businesses
Ensure regular meetings with the Public Hospital health professionals, community GPs, social workers etc; any referrer is in scope
Attend community meetings in liaison with facility managers to act as a representative for Bupa’s facilities and as a resource of knowledge for the group
Play a significant role in the Occupancy Management Plan for each home and driving B2B engagement and local community engagement
Maintain current knowledge of and report any developments within the industry that may impact on Bupa’s occupancy
Identify and pursue opportunities for growth or improvement of services that would maximise occupancy, reporting to facility and operations managers

Skills and Experience
Empathy. Ability to listen and understand when talking to residents and relatives
A willingness to ‘sell’ the home and it’s benefits to the referrer network and the relatives
Excellent networks within the aged care and disability industry and within the greater health care environment
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and build upon working relationships effectively
Have the ability to communicate with others at all levels in order to successfully achieve outcomes
A passion for Aged Care and helping people get the care they deserve
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational, problem solving and prioritisation skills
Ability to recognise opportunities and problems arising in the health and disability sector
Experience in customer facing roles would be advantageous
A current drivers licence and the ability to travel at short notice
