Health Care Workers

STATUS: Ongoing, Part Time

HOURS: 56.0 hours per fortnight, (Eft split will be considered)

Opportunities exist for motivated individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional, person centred care to the aged.

In this role you will be committed to providing excellence in care to our frail, elderly residents of Maddocks Gardens ensuring a safe, secure and happy living environment. You will assist residents with activities of daily living whilst encouraging them to maximise their potential for independence and quality of life.

The successful applicant will provide excellent care with a compassionate approach, the proven ability to work effectively within our multidisciplinary team and a great work ethic. A key requirement of this role is availability to work across 7 days a week and perform a variety of shifts. Opportunities to gain additional shifts covering team members leave are available.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate:
A minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care or Individual Support
Proven ability to provide a high level of person centred care in a proactive manner
Empathy and compassion for the elderly with a willingness and ability to advocate for their best interests
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents and family members
Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to successfully prioritise tasks
An understanding of accreditation standards, ACFI and continuous improvement
Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn relevant computer programs and IT systems
