About the role:
The key role of the Support Worker is to provide support to individuals with intellectual, mental health and/or physical disabilities, promoting choice and control and to assist participants in achieving their personal goals.

The role is focused around NDIS Program participants and their needs. You will be required to:

  • Assist participants with their daily activities and all community socialization (attending medical appointments and getting out and about in the local community)
  • Provide daily living assistance in the home and the community
  • Provide friendly guidance and work together towards developing independence and confidence
  • Support physical health and emotional well-being
In this role you will be required to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region, as per program location using your own personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

You are able to work with minimum supervision
You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
You can build trust and credibility and have passion for helping people
You are passionate and empathetic and committed to provide the best care to each individual
You are creative and resourceful; you enjoy life and can share the joy for it with others

Skills and Experiences:
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support or be interested in working acquiring either.
  • Previous experience or genuine interest in working with people with a disability.
Additional Requirements:
  • Current Australian Drivers License and access to a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance to assist with client transportation (mileage reimbursed)
  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply
  • Yellow Card or be eligible to apply for NDIS Worker Screening
