About this role...
A rare & rewarding career opportunity is now available to an accomplished Associate level Lawyer with expertise in administrative law, regulatory compliance and statutory interpretation. In this often intriguing & challenging role you will be a pivotal player in their professional and vibrant Public Law, Litigation and Aged Care team, working closely with an approachable Partner, where your responsibilities will involve (but not be limited to); 

  • Providing legal advice on statutory interpretation and administrative decision-making and public law compliance obligations;
  • Providing strategic and practically focussed legal policy advice;
  • Drafting regulations and legislative instruments;
  • Preparation of drafting instructions and settling of bills;
  • Reviewing and developing policies and procedures for public sector
    governance and compliance and good administrative decision-making;
  • Mentoring of less experienced colleagues Marketing and business development activities.

To succeed in this role you will have: 

  • Circa 5-7 years experience in legal policy/compliance ideally within both private practice & govt. environment.
  • exceptional attention to detail;
  • a flexible attitude, self-motivated and client focussed approach;
  • enjoy being part of a busy, professional & collegiate team.
