Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Aged Care - Melbourne

Career defining opportunity to spearhead this Christian-based NFP Residential Aged Care organisation in Southeast Melbourne.

Reporting to the board, the Chief Executive role will suit a strategic thinker who can assist the organisation in moving to the next level. This pivotal position will oversee an exciting chapter in the organisation’s history, implementing the strategic plan for their diverse aged care offering in the local community. This position can genuinely offer a new challenge for a highly skilled Aged Care Leader.

The CEO will be responsible for the ongoing, successful management of the organisation in accordance with the strategies, policies, mission, and values approved by the Board. The breadth of this role requires a high level of business acumen including strong financial management, leadership, and the ability to delegate responsibilities ensuring the optimal level of care is provided to residents. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Health or Aged Care and be competent in all aspects of management. Knowledge of ACFI, the Aged Care Act, WHS, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement systems along with a passion for aged care.


 
What you can bring to the role:
  • Strong business and financial skills, with Tertiary qualifications in Management, Nursing, Admin or Business.
  • A team-oriented person with strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and quality improvement processes in Aged Care with a technical understanding of the Australian Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
  • Experienced, passionate leadership skills with the capacity to coach and mentor staff.
  • Strong, well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound abilities to problem solve, show initiative, and demonstrate accountability.
  • A passion for customer service and delivering excellence in care for older people and their families.
  • A strong understanding of marketing with excellent networking skills.
