The Role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing – Independent & Assisted Living, you will be responsible for the development and execution of an integrated marketing, brand and communication strategy for our Residential Communities (aged care and retirement) business. Leading a small team, you’ll be responsible for driving awareness and maximising customer acquisition, retention, up-sell and revenue opportunities, in turn positioning Australian Unity as a provider of choice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Build brand affinity for Australian Unity and position the business as a provider of choice.
  • Ensure an optimal and integrated customer experience across all channels and platforms, along with an integrated suite of marketing communication collateral.
  • Oversee brand strategy for new retirement community developments, including property identity and name, positioning, display suite design/site design and CVP.
  • Develop and implement an integrated B2C and B2C marketing strategy.
  • Use customer data and insights to create customer propositions, test and learn activities and marketing communications to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive a genuinely customer centric culture through sustained leadership commitment.
  • Partner and collaborate across functions to deliver on key strategic initiatives and drive customer obsession.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar marketing role where you have driven and integrated brand and marketing strategies across multiple channels. You will have gained this experience in a complex / matrix structured organisation.
  • Ideally, you will have previous marketing experience working in the Aged Care / Retirement sector.
  • Ability to lead strategic category awareness and marketing creative vision coupled with the ability to provide direction and guidance to your team.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand strategy, external communication and marketing communication.
  • Advanced understanding of key marketing drivers of customer acquisition, growth and retention / loyalty.
  • Proficiency in translating research insights into strategy and action.
  • You can confidently liaise with key senior stakeholders and have exceptional communication skills and influencing capability.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Commerce or a related field is desirable.
