Khmer Speaking Direct Care Worker (Home Care) - Part time

We are currently looking for a Khmer Speaking Direct Care Worker to join our team on a permanent part-time contract.

Hours: 25 to 32 hours a week (negotiable)

Must be flexible to travel to various areas across Melbourne and Bass Coast.

Beata Homecare provides home care services to support the independence of elderly and disabled clients from various cultural backgrounds in Melbourne.

Role:

You will be responsible for delivering quality care to clients in their own homes.

Duties may include:

  • domestic support (cleaning, meal preparation, laundry)
  • transport in your own car (to appointments, shopping, activity groups)
  • personal care (showering, grooming, dressing)
  • in-home respite
  • providing companionship.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak Khmer
  • Certificate III+ in Aged Care / Individual Support
  • Previous experience as a personal care worker/aged care worker/ disability support worker
  • Victorian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance
  • Police Check (within 3 months)
  • First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
  • CPR Certificate (within 1 year)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • 2 professional references

You must be able to provide original copies of the above documents.

  • Compassionate, dedicated, reliable, honest, ethical, willing to learn, able to work autonomously
  • Must be able to travel to various locations efficiently
