Remuneration: $26.76 - $27.35 per hour + 9.5% Super + Access NFP Salary Packaging + Employee benefits

We’re seeking applications from efficient and self-motivated aged/health care administration professionals with an impeccable customer service mindset and an ability to managing conflicting priorities to join our Kallangur Pilgrim Aged Care Facility team.

This is a great opportunity for a highly organised and efficient Administrator looking to secure flexible employment in a leading NFP organisation setting new standards in aged care.

As a key support role to the delivery of our services, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are run efficiently and our clients and residents receive an exceptional experience! In addition to managing rosters and general administrative responsibilities, you will:

Be the first point of contact for internal and external customers - via phone, email ad in person
Manage requests, concerns and enquiries
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information in financial, human resource and other Blue Care systems and databases
Support hiring and on-boarding administrative activities for your service/s
Use mainstream software including the Microsoft Office Suite and database applications (Intermediate - Advanced skills required)
Assist senior staff with special projects as required

What you’ll need:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Great time-management skills and an ability to prioritise your workload
Good knowledge and experience with MS Office and Database applications
Confidence with smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn
Qualifications, skills and experience in Administration or Business is not essential but highly desirable.

In May 2020 it became mandatory to have the influenza vaccination to either enter or work in a Residential Aged Care Facility. This was a legal direction triggered by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have experience in administration or reception? Minimum 3 years.
Essential: Do you have experience in administration or reception in the health or aged care sector?
Essential: Do you have intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite?
Essential: Do you have strong organisational skills and can effectively contribute as a member of a team in a fast-paced environments?
Desirable: Do you have knowledge and/or previous experience with guidelines and statutory requirements relevant to Blue Care services, or have ability to quickly acquire?
Essential: Do you hold the required qualifications for this role? Please note you WILL be required to provide copies during the interview process. Minimum Certificate III in Business administration or Certificate III in Health Administration.
Essential: Do you have full Australian working entitlements as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR New Zealand Citizen?
Essential: If you are successful for this role, you may be required to undergo a series of pre-employment checks; that may include your Right to Work in Australia, Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Health Screening Questionnaire. Do you consent to this?
Essential: Can you supply evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities?
