The Quality & Safety Unit

Under the leadership of the Executive Director Quality, Safety and Patient Experience and working closely with key stakeholders, the Quality & Safety Unit (QSU) supports our program leaders to embed strong clinical governance processes.

About the Role

As a member of the Quality & Safety Unit (QSU), the Quality Partner utilises their skills and knowledge to work closely with the Unit and program leaders to ensure a consistent, organisation wide approach to patient safety and quality improvement.

The QSU Quality Partner:

• Develops & implements quality improvement projects under the direction of the Director, Quality & Safety.


• Provides quality support to the Allied Health & Patient Flow program.


• Provides extended leave cover for the program based Quality Partners.


• Oversees the implementation and evaluation of relevant standards including the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.


• Ensures policies and procedures; best practice standards; professional standards and legislative requirements are promoted and complied with.

The role is a minimum of 45.6 hours with some flexibility with hours within normal business hours Monday to Friday.

About You

You must have a clinical background. Current AHPRA registration is not required but a clinical background is required.

You also have:

• A strong understanding of clinical governance.


• Experience in quality and risk management within a healthcare setting.


• Experience in implementing continuous clinical quality improvement.


• Exceptional interpersonal and engagement skills.


• Proven change management capabilities.


• An understanding of a just culture.


• Experience in implementing the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.


• Excellent report writing skills.


• A positive attitude in facilitating change and adopting new concepts.
