Your new team

  • Merv Irvine Nursing Home is the Aged Residential, Bundoora
  • Specialised nursing home providing care for the older persons living with a dementia or mental health illness that require specialist care
  • 30 bedded home provides high level care for residents with dementia and/or a long standing mental health illness
  • We offer specialist care for residents between acute services and mainstream nursing home
  • Multidisciplinary team; Registered & Enrolled nurses with support from Psychiatrist, GP services and allied health

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide direct care and support residents in their life style program in a holistic approach to individual care.
  • Promote high quality standards of resident care
  • Perform interventions and procedures is accordance with RMH policies and procedures
  • Identify, manage and action risk and actively work towards implementing risk reduction strategies

Your Contribution

  • Recent experience working in the clinical field of residential Aged Care and/or mental health
  • Working knowledge of Aged Care legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Residential Aged Care Standards
  • Working knowledge of Aged Care Funding Instrument
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and diplomacy skills, including the capacity to effectively consult and problem solve.
  • Capacity to work a flexible roster
