This is for a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 30.4 hours per fortnight for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a progressive and innovative Day Therapy Unit team within the Department of Rehabilitation and Aged Care. This occupational Therapist role is predominately in the Falls clinic and is involved in assessing and providing intervention to outpatients. Interventions involve individual and group programs plus home interventions with patient and family looking at risk minimization and strategies and maintaining independence and optimal level of function. 

Area Profiles: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Osborne Park Hospital (OPH), located in Stirling, is a community general hospital providing comprehensive specialist health care services for the north metropolitan suburbs of Perth. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties consisting of Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services and Younger Adult Rehabilitation, Surgical Services and Women’s and Newborn Services. Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health Services Team. Supporting these specialties are hospital wide services including Infection Prevention and Control, diabetes inpatient and community services, Pharmacy, Pathology and Radiology.
