About the role:

 We are seeking an experienced person to assist in effectively managing complex engineering & infrastructure assets in Monash Health facilities.

 Position Title: Technical Officer

 Employment Status: Permanent Full Time

 Award classification: Admin Officer Grade 3 (HS3)

 Reporting to: Assets & Contracts Manager

 Summary of Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities;

  • Ensure AIMS is maintained up to date with asset maintenance/financial histories and relevant statistics.

  • Assist engineering staff to keep the AIMS up to date with real time asset maintenance data.

  • Assist engineering managers to identify key critical assets and develop/maintain Asset Management Plans (AMPs) to align with AMAF and ISO 55000.

  • Improve the quality of data in the AIMS to be able to analyse LCC of key critical assets.

  • Ensure the Preventive Maintenance [PM] plans/tasks are aligned to the relevant maintenance standards and statutory regulations. 

  • Establish/maintain reporting mechanisms to track asset performance & analyse life cycle data.

  • Carryout regular checks of the AIMS to ensure data accuracy, maintenance reports, maintenance history and other relevant data is kept up to date.

  • Participate in the Engineering Department after hours on call rosters.

  • Sustainability initiatives & Energy management

  • Assist in managing contractor performance in accordance with OHS regulations.

  • Other duties as directed that is consistent with the employee’s skills & classification.

 Selection criteria;

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Building Services

  • Alternatively an appropriate trade qualification in electrical or mechanical trade preferably in a heath engineering environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of plant performance & maintenance strategies
