Job Title: Technical Analyst, DIME (Role until - 30 June 2021)

Number of positions available: 4

Work location: 50 Lonsdale Street/Work from home

Position Summary:

  • Implementation of technical logic in the COVID 19 Data Model to satisfy business requirements
  • Document changes made to processes in relation to the architecture and design of the COVID 19 Data Model
  • Communicate design changes and assess impact to the business users of the COVID 19 Data Model

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Data Model Manager, within the Informatics & Data Quality function of the Intelligence, Case Contact and Outbreak Management (ICCOM) team in the COVID response
  • Test and validate the functionality and outputs of the COVID 19 Data Model
  • Support the Azure Engineer in the build and maintenance of the Azure Data Factory pipelines
  • Gather business requirements for reporting metrics associated with COVID 19 outbreak management and COVID 19 vaccinations
  • Technical implementation of business logic in SQL or DAX as well as Azure Analysis Services
  • Dimensional modelling for development of new objects or logic in the model
  • Troubleshoot and test the model to ensure correct functionality
  • Communicate design changes and assess corresponding impacts to stakeholders
  • Test design changes to ensure consistency and accuracy for reporting
  • Address defects identified by business users and implement fixes within the model or the underlying SQL Server
  • Support Report Development and Data Provision teams in their PowerBI report development
  • Create documentation to record processes within the team
  • Attend daily stand ups and other meetings as required within the Data Model team
