Suncare Support Worker - what's involved in the role?

We are seeking several part-time Support Workers (contracts with a minimum of 30 and 40 hours per fortnight) to provide support to our customers in the South Burnett region. Hours of work for this role would be primarily between Monday - Friday (7am- 6pm) and the successful candidate will need to be flexible in their availability.

The role of a Suncare Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family. No two days are the same with our customers and may include delivering personal care (showering, toileting, feeding, dressing) household domestic assistance (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, accompanying them on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.

For this position you will be required to be physically fit, hold an open Queensland Driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance are required for this role and if you do not hold these currently, these will be completed as part of the recruitment/onboarding process. Please note that Suncare cover the cost of the NDIS Worker Screening Clearance for new and current employees. CPR and First Aid certifcates are also required in this position and Suncare provide paid training once you have commenced employment. We require flexibility to attend shifts with minimal notice and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
