McLean Care is a well established provider of Aged Care services in the New England region and has two facilities in the Gunnedah area, Apex Road (high care and memory support) and Alkira (low care).

We are seeking a full time motivated and experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion for providing holistic care and support to our residents at Mackellar Aged Care - Alkira.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of our Alkira team providing high quality care to our Residents.

The successful candidate must possess:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• A solid understanding of the ageing process with comprehensive clinical knowledge, particularly as it relates to aged care health issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to residents needs
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to continuous improvement
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Solid computer skills
• Satisfactory Federal Police and NDIS Check

Desirable attributes include:

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Act and associated legislation
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the application of the Aged Care Funding Instrument
• Demonstrated experience in Leecare
