    Right now we're looking for a dynamic Arts Project Officer to join our team at the Central Office. 

    About the role

    The Casual Project Officer SALA and Art Programs is responsible for supporting the SALA Arts Project Manager through development and delivery of arts programs and engaging customers to develop a variety of forms of art for exhibition and/or production in Southern Cross Care’s organisational SALA and Arts programs.

    The position is required to travel to sites to engage customers and staff in facilitating artistic pursuits;

    • To support and enable residents to maximise independence, improve and maintain their health, wellness and quality of life through engagement in community arts programs.
    • To use best practice, evidence based tools to deliver high quality art programs with the emphasis on community engagement and healthy ageing.
    • To engage customers and staff in the development of high quality art work for exhibition, ensuring projects are inclusive and suitable for customers with a variety of physical and cognitive abilities

    Experience delivering Arts programs to special needs groups, including people with cognitive decline is required. Qualification in Arts, Design or relevant field is essential for this position.
