ABOUT THE ROLE / JOB DETAILS :
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team if you are a Community Service and Aged Care Trainer and Assessor for our Hobart campuses.
The role is suited for trainer and assessors who are seeking either contract work or full time employment and previously/currently deliver one of or a range of the following courses:
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
- CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services
About the role
As the Trainer & Assessor for Diploma of Community Services your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Delivery of quality training and assessment of theory and simulated practical lessons
- Mark student assessments in a timely manner
- Maintain compliant student files
- Provide regular reports on student progress
- Support students throughout the course
- Develop session plans to support your delivery
Skills and experience
- Diploma level qualification in Community Services area or higher
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40116
- Minimum 2 years industry experience in the field
- Solid interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills

The role will include the following:
- Deliver training via face-to-face classroom sessions and Virtual classrooms
- Assess students via practical assessments and online assessments
- Undertake regular VET and industry professional development to maintain currency
- Liaise with students in both physical and virtual environments to ensure they are supported and progress through their programs at an acceptable pace
- Liaise with the administration team to ensure student records are up to date
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able and willing to fully comply with Code of Ethics of Interpreters and Translators
- Must be able to speak English fluently
- Must be reliable easily contactable
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite essential
Key Selection Criteria
Ideally, applicants will tick the box on most of the following:
- Hold a TAE40116 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant vocational industry including demonstrated experience in training and assessment in a competency-based training environment and an understanding of nationally endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses.
- Demonstrated experience with VET Quality Framework and understanding of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
- Relevant industry experience
- Ability to engage the class and draw on own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experience
- Proactive approach to student management
- Maintain KPIs
- Can work autonomously and make decisions

Salary: $41,765.00 - $74,702.00 per year
