Your new team

  • Northern Area Mental Health Service (NAMHS), working closely with the Northern Hospital, believes in the effective delivery of high quality psychiatric services.

  • New infrastructure across the Northern suburbs is driving fresh developments and revolutionary program delivery that, in turn, is generating opportunities for career advancement and specialist skill growth.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Enjoy working in a small team and gain the stimulation of diverse ideas, as well as working autonomously as required

  • Provide clinical leadership in personality disorder management

  • Engage with mental health and associated services in the review and planning for service pathways and access to appropriate levels of care for consumers diagnosed with Personality disorder and their families

  • Develop and deliver professional development and training programs to meet the needs of the range of services involved in Personality Disorders care and treatment

  • Share knowledge and build capacity within the service

  • Play a key role in assisting skills and workforce development in Personality Disorders treatment across the service

Your Contribution

  • Experience assisting people and working with complex client presentations

  • Highly adaptable to challenges and work changes in response to new requests or initiatives

  • Able to communicate both verbally and in written format

  • Share your experience in the clinical management of personality disorders

  • Strong knowledge and training in evidence-based treatments for personality disorders.

  • A solid understanding of the Victorian Mental Health system; its structure and range of services

  • Skilled in providing case consultations and supervision, and appropriate reporting on your work

  • Capacity to plan and provide educational and professional development sessions
