Mackay Hospital and Health Service has eight hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and two additional community health services that employ more than 3,300 staff. The Mackay district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to approximately 182,000 people in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.

Your role:

The Clinical Nurse provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The Clinical Nurse provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff.

Your team:

Clermont MPHS is a 32-bed facility that has recently consolidated from two sites to one. The facility comprises 10 x acute inpatient beds and 22 x aged care beds in Montcler. Current services include Aged Care, Accident & Emergency (A&E) services, inpatient services, Community Health and Allied Health outpatient clinics and the Community Home Support Program (CHSP).
