Project Coordinator- IT Projects

Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Coordinator will assist in the planning and scheduling of project-related activities.

This role will assist in successfully implementing initiatives by providing support in administration, communications, change management and process improvement within the PMO team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the scheduling of activities within the project in conjunction with the project managers.
  • Support in the allocation of resources and staff across the project.
  • Collect and analyse data associated with projects, and report on project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records, documentation, meeting minutes, emails and logical, accessible filing system including archiving, version control and naming conventions
  • In conjunction with the project managers assist in the implementation of the project communication plans to support the successful implementation of the project.
  • Provide timely, prompt, friendly and efficient service to internal and external customers.
  • Co-ordinate with and support PMO team members in their own role objectives.

Note- the role is being offered on a max term contract of 12 months

To be successful in this role, your experience looks like this:

  • Project co-ordination of a company-wide project, preferably across multiple locations
  • A solid working knowledge of all IT initiatives, so that queries can be adequately directed / responded to.
  • High level of computer literacy, focussing on Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodology
  • Using software to build and manage project plans and schedules
  • Experience within an aged care environment favourable but not essential
  • Change management experience desirable but not essential

  • Highly organised, focussed and methodical; able to multitask.
  • Ability to convert complex language and concepts into everyday language that suits targeted audiences.
  • Able to pick up new technologies relatively easily
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to suit audiences from the front-line staff to executive level management.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail whilst maintaining efficient use of time.
  • Good relationship skills with stakeholders; able to secure their time and attention.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Natural coaching disposition
  • Able to ‘get things done’ Team Player
