Position Title: Stanford House Outreach and Residential Officer

Employment Type: Maximum Term Part (12 Months -2 positions available)

Hours per week: 16 and 24 hours

Position Grade: General Administration Staff Grade 4

Salary: $62,259.47 annual base salary pro rata

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Residential Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality resident centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to work: within the framework of the Mission, Vision, Values and philosophy, as well as the Policies of St Vincent’s Hospital. The Stanford House Residential Support Worker is responsible for the provision of quality care to residents, which includes attention to their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as communication with concern for their significant others

Being able to work autonomously, with an eye for detail and possessing strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are strongly desirable in order to fulfil this position.

Selection Criteria

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia

2. Demonstrated experience and understanding of supporting for people living with HIV (PLHIV) who have complex health needs in a residential service

3. Demonstrated skills and experience in delivery and evaluation of quality client care using quality improvement principles

4. Demonstrated ability to work with management, autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

5. Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively both written and verbally with consumers, staff and other key stakeholders

6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

7. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills, including high level computer skills: Microsoft Office, Patient Record Systems

8. Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License.
