Position Title: Neuropsychologist (Research)
Employment Type: Maximum Term, Part-Time (12 month contract)
Hours per week: 16 hours
Position Grade: Clinical Psychologist Yr 1 - Yr 5
Salary: $41,070.74 - $50,367.58 per annum
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Professional & Associated Staff Agreement 2009

Position Summary:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Neuropsychologist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient-centred care.

As a Neuropsychologist working within a team of experienced clinical trials staff, you will work in compliance with the Protocol, ICH-GCP, Australian regulations and privacy laws to administer cognitive scales and assessments for allocated clinical trials and provide feedback to participants and physicians as required. You will also assist with other tasks related to academic research projects within the team, including data management, statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant applications. The position requires regular communication with stakeholders including Clinical Trial Investigators, Coordinators, other Neuropsychologists and Sponsors..


The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Bachelor degree with (Hons) in Psychology and working toward or Completed an Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) approved Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology

3. Current provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA)

4. Experience in standardised psychological and/or neuropsychological test administration and test interpretation

5. Demonstrated database management skills and experience with/understanding of commonly used statistical packages

6. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills and a methodical and meticulous approach to the recording of clinical information.

7. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines without

compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
