Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years. We currently have a vacant position at Bethanie Illawong Aged Care Home in Hamilton Hill for an Enrolled Nurse on a permanent part time basis, working 35 hours per week across a variety of morning, afternoon and night shifts. Bethanie Illawong is a small and intimate 39 bed facility with a village garden, where residents live independently within a relaxed and social community.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide hands-on care to residents while supporting and mentoring a multi-skilled team with a focus on learning and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out nursing care plans in consultation with and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Consulting with a Registered Nurse in planning care on a shift basis
  • Implementing care plans as documented
  • Assisting in assessing residents within the ACFI criteria and ensuring all documentation is up to date and in accordance with company requirements
  • Communicating effectively with a variety of people and contributing to teamwork within the workplace
  • Participating in continuing personal development and education
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Previous experience with dementia care
  • Ability to work independently and professionally
  • Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to a person-centred care approach when providing care services
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • Previous experience with ACFI documentation
  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc.
  • A current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
