St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA) is the nation’s largest not-for-profit Catholic health and aged care provider. Initially established in 1855 by the Sisters of Charity, SVHA is a clinical, research and education leader and operator of private hospitals, public hospitals and aged care services.
SVHA is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join the IT team in our Brisbane office. The Service Desk Analyst provides quality technical assistance in triaging incoming and existing queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for providing prompt and effective resolution to customers’ requirements through the provision of first and second level technical support for incoming service requests and incidents. This involves;
- Recording, updating, classifying and tracking helpdesk incidents and requests;
- Monitoring open Service Desk jobs and requests and tracking their progress towards resolutions against specified service targets;
- Ensuring effective Communications between the Service Desk and customers
- Analysing of issues to record and identifying possible problems;
- Liaising effectively with all IT resolver teams
- Identifying customer training and education needs where appropriate
- Responding to queries either in person, via email or over the phone;
- Installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software;
- Installing computer peripherals for users;
- Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
- Contributing to the Knowledge Base and sharing thoughts and findings with team members
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate IV in Information Technology Support or IT equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Customer and service focused manner with excellent phone manner;
- Experience within help desk/service desk environment
- Excellent trouble shooting skills;
- Knowledge of current Microsoft technologies (server, desktop and application);
- PC Hardware and peripheral knowledge and skills;
- Exceptional documentation skills.
This is a Work from Home position, with induction occurring over a 2 week period in our Bowen Hills office.
