JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of Victorians into the future. We also lead the Victorian Government's response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Working with our partners, we oversee Victoria's health system including mental health, ageing and aged care and preventive health. POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Integrity Prevention and Detection, the Senior Adviser will support the integrity function of the team, including but not limited to: supporting investigation work such as data analysis; reviewing data and providing advice on compliance activities; assisting in the administrative function of the unit, including managing new requests for integrity activities and maintaining the department's Gift, Benefit and Hospitality register; handling highly confidential department information; drafting reports to audit and integrity committees; developing and implementing fraud, corruption and inappropriate conduct prevention and detection measures; assisting in the development and delivery of a department wide integrity framework; and providing strategic and thorough advice on the implementation of integrity functions and drafting of policies and procedures.

PDC are responsible for the operation of the department's Public Interest Disclosure regime; development of the department's fraud and corruption control framework; interface with the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) and Victorian Ombudsman for corruption, mandatory reports and public interest disclosure matters; compliance with the Standing Directions of the Minister for Finance; Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality policy; detection and investigation of fraud, corruption and inappropriate conduct; prevention activities, including policy and staff training; and fraud and corruption control support for the department and health services.
