Respiratory Screening Aide Would you like to help your community in the challenge against COVID in these unprecedented times? Barratt & Smith Pathology, NSW's premier pathology services provider, has part time contract positions available for Respiratory Screening Aide in the Orange Central West area. As a Respiratory Screening Aide, you will swab patients for COVID in a variety of settings (including collection centres, aged care facilities and drive-thru testing sites) and will frequently don and doff personal protective equipment (PPE). You will prepare specimens for testing at our central laboratory. The successful applicants must be honest, reliable, able to work as part of a professional team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be required to complete a targeted training program. Previous experience is highly desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. Prior to commencement, all successful applicants will be required to provide documentary evidence of the following: A current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003) Vaccinations including Fluvax (as per our website) A current driver's licence The contract will be for a 3 month period. At the end of this period there may be the possibility of an extension or progression into a permanent Pathology Aide or Pathology Collector position.
