About the role

We are seeking a Service Manager to provide holistic care, operational excellence and supervision to staff. You will manage the day-to-day clinical, hospitality, administration, maintenance and lifestyle operations of the site. Yes, it's a big job but we believe it will be equally as rewarding. You'll be well supported with a team of clinical carers who will benefit from your strong leadership and motivational style. Support will also come from working closely with the Regional Manager and regional support team in relation to quality and compliance management.

This role is based on Bribie Island, which is just under an hour North of Brisbane CBD. The only island in Queensland to be connected to the mainland by a bridge, Bribie is known for its protected marine park and stunning beaches. Our Bribie service has 128 beds with a smaller 10 bed facility located nearby at Woorim.

About you

You are driven by challenges and looking for a role where your input will make a real and substantial difference to the lives of our residents. You will have ability to effectively implement changes at an organisational level, and to manage the human resource aspects of a remote service.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Nurse or other clinical professional with current registration with AHPRA OR Post graduate qualifications in health administration, business administration or equivalent;
  • Current experience leading and mentoring a clinical care workforce, in the aged care industry;
  • Knowledge of the accreditation system, as well as funding & regulatory requirements for aged care facilities;
  • A current driver's licence;
  • Ability to obtain a national police certificate;
  • Ability to acquire NDIS Worker Screening;
  • Be able to undertake a personal insolvency check;
  • Be able to evidence Flu vaccine, as per the yearly requirements for entry into our Aged Care Facilities.
