JOB DESCRIPTION

We currently have an exciting employment opportunity for a passionate and experienced Customer Service Officer to join our high performing team at Broughton Hall Residential Aged Care Facility in a permanent part time capacity.

Located in Camberwell, Broughton Hall provides an environment where our 65 residents can feel at home and be supported with person centered care. The successful applicant will provide a friendly and welcoming “front of house” approach to residents, families, visitors and staff.

We are currently looking for a committed individual who has availability to work 45 hours per fortnight. The shift times are as follows:

Weeks 1 & 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9.30am - 3.30pm and Wednesday: 09.00 – 3.30

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

  • Organisation of work to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Providing front of house customer service to the residents, families, visitors and staff
  • Conduct orientation tours of the site when delegated by the manager
  • Performing reception / switchboard and administrative duties to meet customer needs
  • Maintain office inventory and records
  • Submitting resident admission, discharge and variation information
  • Producing written reports from financial and administrative management systems when required
  • Working as part of a team, but also autonomously when required and in line with the policies of Benetas
  • Assisting with invoicing and financial transactions
  • Coordinating the staff roster, including its preparation and the filling of vacant shifts
  • Submitting pay time sheets and assist staff with wage queries
  • Creating genuine connections and empathizing with residents, families and staff
  • Managing respite calendar and bookings.

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration (or a similar qualification) is desirable
  • Previous experience in administrative support or customer service
  • Prior experience working in Aged Care is desirable
  • Experience in rosters and accounts and aged care systems (highly regarded)
  • Proficiency utilising Microsoft Office and various computer systems
  • A high attention to detail, accuracy and effective time management skills
  • A friendly, positive attitude and ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy and an emphasis on treating others with dignity and respect
  • Willing to undergo a police check
  • Must be able to work full time to cover annual leave
