EGM Executive Search is partnering with a large community services provider to find their next General Manager, Residential Services.

This role is a critical senior leadership role overseeing a large team that is going through transformation and change.

Not for the faint-hearted, this role is going to suit an energetic leader that wants to make a difference and change the lives of their staff and residents.

About the Role

Reporting to an Executive Manager, we are seeking a commercially minded, customer focused professional to steer the ship of the largest portfolio within this business.

You have to be willing to take it to the next level which will include; ensuring all living environments, clinical care, hospitality and positive living services meet the client and carer/family expectations and manage all aspects of the clients’ needs.

In this role you will:
Lead the delivery of professional services with uncompromised quality
Monitor and ensure the planning, coordination, evaluation and documentation of service delivery
Provide clinical leadership, expert advice and issue resolution to facilitate high quality residential services
Ensure services comply with legislative and accreditation requirements
Ensure effective risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including workplace health and safety practices
Lead and be an advocate for ongoing organisational change within this portfolio and across the business

About You

This role requires a strong, resilient, change agent. You will have extensive leadership experience and be comfortable with the uncomfortable. This role will suit a senior leader who has worked within human services, community services and/or an aged care environment.

Ideally you will have:
Proven experience in successfully executing both strategic and operational goals for a complex organisation
Demonstrated achievements in providing strategic leadership and management of residential services, delivering on client expectations and financial sustainability
Demonstrated experience in maintaining systems and processes to meet the legislative, accreditation, compliance and reporting requirements
Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and controlling expenditure
Demonstrated success in leading, managing and mentoring people to create a workplace culture that is engaging, positive, creative, cohesive and productive
Demonstrated ability to create strong networks of internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated achievements in effective communication, change management and consultation techniques

Ideally, you will have experience in a health and/or clinical environment with a post-graduate qualification in Health Management, Business /Commerce, Human Resource Management.
