The organisation has recently undergone a major restructure creating two distinct divisions, namely Service Delivery and Corporate Services.

The Service Delivery division comprises four main pillars:
Allied Health - Psychology Services, Mental Health Services, NDIS services
Social Programs - Homelessness, Financial Health and Wellbeing, Emergency Assistance
Child & Family Services - Family support programs and Child Care Centre
Aged Care - Home Care Services

Child & Family Services helps children and families improve their social and emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships and live positive lives. This is done in collaboration with child centres, schools and community services.

The Team Leader Child and Family will:
Provide leadership and support to the Child and Family team to ensure they have the capacity and resources to deliver quality services in line with contractual obligations and the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Act and behave with integrity and in accordance with the organisation’s code of conduct and values.

Primary responsibilities:
Lead the day to day activities of the Child and Family department, its people and resources.

Implement and maintain best practice recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, coaching, retention, professional development and timely performance management of staff.
Delivery of effective and relevant case management.
Support a culture of innovation and enablement, underpinned by and expressing the values and philosophy of the organisation.

Reporting to the Manager Child and Family, the person we are seeking will be a suitably qualified Social Worker with proven leadership experience. You will be responsible for providing leadership in the delivery of a professional and effective service that contributes to meeting the department’s goals and objectives. The Team Leader provides high level and expert social work advice and supervision to the team to ensure the adoption of best practice in counselling, case management, group work and community education modalities.
