About the service
The Acute Community Intervention Service provides timely comprehensive psychiatric assessments and delivers evidence-based treatment in the most appropriate setting, across all ages of the lifespan. ACIS is at the ‘front end’ of service delivery, and includes crisis, and short-term interventions and treatment for those whose illness can be readily managed in the community, as well as seamless engagement with longer-term care for those with relapsing or enduring conditions.
About the Role
We currently have positions available for an ACIS clinician. In this role you will be required to work across a number of functions which include Community – formally Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT), our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC), and the Emergency Psychiatric Service (EPS) within Monash Emergency Department. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. Applicants will be required to work a 24/7 roster which includes night shift.
The role will include establishing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as working with consumers and family from a recovery orientated, evidence based framework.

- Community mental health experience
- An ambitious and driven leader
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Qualifications and relevant registrations in Nursing, OT or Social Work
- Capacity to work independently and within a team
- A friendly and professional attitude.
- Excellent engagement, relationship and therapeutic skills
- Resilience and strong work ethics
- Australian working rights
- Current AHPRA registration /membership with AASW
- You must have relevant professional registration
- A valid Working with Children Check
- A valid Victorian Drivers Licence is essential
- Post graduate experience in mental health
- Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health is preferred
