JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a customer focused individual to become a part of The Willows Retirement Village, based in Winston Hills, NSW.

This is a permanent full-time role, working Mon – Fri from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM.


In this role you will assist the Village Management in the day-to-day activities of the Village including care, welfare, social and recreational activities and services. The LWBC ensures that all activities are carried out within existing frameworks and in line with Stockland policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation.

The Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator plans and coordinates activities and services, that are financially viable, and that promote healthy living, a sense of community and reflect the personal and lifestyle needs of residents.

This role is responsible for working closely with the Village Manager, internal and external stakeholders to develop, maintain and implement a comprehensive program of activities designed to enhance the psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing and overall quality of life for our residents.

In addition, the Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator works closely with the VM to help educate residents on the Benefits+ Program and plays a key role to embed and sustain Benefits+ as a value-add service offering at the village.

Your tasks will include:

  • Prepare and manage annual activities budget, ensuring consultation with Village Manager and any applicable Resident Committees.
  • Process all administration and invoices applicable for Lifestyle and Wellbeing programs.
  • Perform reception duties as required. Support administration as required by Village Manager if no Administration Assistant available.
  • Establish and maintain a well-functioning activities and social calendar in consultation with relevant stakeholders and taking cultural and financial considerations into account.
  • Follow up and review the effectiveness of programs and activities.
  • Be responsible for prompt response to all village emergency calls and to provide emergency assistance as required. Provide first aid services to residents.
  • Provide advice to residents on care options and external community services as required.
  • Establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships with all residents, Village employees and contract service providers.
  • Be aware of workplace health & safety issues and the Stockland procedures for documenting and reporting any issues of concern in any area.

To be successful in this role you:

  • You will bring your excellent customer service skills or community coordination experience, preferably within an aged care setting or you will be an experienced lifestyle coordinator in a similar setting.
  • We also want to hear from you if you are a qualified personal trainer or a wellness coach
  • You will ideally bring a Bus Driver’s License or willingness to apply for one.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate will be highly regarded.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in computers and Microsoft suite will be highly regarded.
  • Be customer- centric, have empathy for the elderly is critical and previous experience managing and organising information sessions will be advantageous
  • Patient and understanding of residents and family needs
  • You will be forward thinking and proactive in your approach and be able to clearly demonstrate a strong passion for promoting health and well-being
  • You will have excellent organisational skills and a keen knowledge of local community services and initiatives that our residents may benefit from
  • Strong self-management skills, and flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes
