Position Summary

About The Role



The Antenatal Midwife Clinical Coordinator (AMCC) will primarily be responsible for the clinical oversight and clinical leadership of the Antenatal Clinics (ANC). Working closely with the Women's and Children's Program, the AMCC will facilitate the provision of best practice clinical care and continuous clinical improvement within the ANC. In addition, the AMCC will work closely with the Outpatient Clinics Leadership Team to compliment and support the strategic direction and management within the Outpatient Clinics, ensuring that all processes are managed efficiently and in accordance with the Specialist Clinics Access Policy.

  • Ensures midwifery leadership within the Antenatal Clinic
  • Ensures the provision and implementation of quality clinical care
  • Ensures effective lines of communication are maintained both internally and with external facilities
  • Contributes to a collaborative approach to policy and procedure review development
  • Ensures all services are delivered with a strong focus on customer service and continuous improvement
  • Ensures responsibility of own professional development and contributes to others
  • Contributes to a collaborative approach to change management and application
  • Contributes to human resource management


About You
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse / Endorsed Midwife or Registered Direct Entry Midwife
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience
  • Post graduate qualification (or working towards) in Maternity Services; Health Leadership or equivalent qualification
