Position Summary

About The Role

Opportunity to join our progressive team as an Acting ANUM, at Mercy Hospital for Women. Our antenatal / postnatal unit consist of two 25 bed postnatal wards and one 25 bed antenatal ward. We are a busy unit with a diverse and committed team of ANUMs and Midwifery staff.

  • Various fixed term full time and part time roles available
    • Contribute to and support the strategic direction and management of the postnatal antenatal care
    • Be a positive proactive leader and role model
    • Support the nursing and midwifery team and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
    • Promote excellence in clinical practice and family centred care

    About You

    You will need excellent clinical acumen and skills, proficient time management and organisational skills and have;
    • Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Minimum 3 years Midwifery experience
    • Level 3 RANZCOG
    • Demonstrate credentialing for other clinical skills including IV cannulation and newborn discharge examinations
    • A commitment to women centred care
    • Commit to minimum EFT of 0.6, working all shifts including night duty
    • You will have the ability to communication effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team, a diverse patient population and an ability and willingness to mentor junior staff.
