Weejah is a network of independent carers and members. Our platform allows you to deliver in-home non-clinical support to a diverse range of members as an independent support worker.

About the Opportunity:
Carers support people to live with dignity and independence in their own homes and, most importantly, to maintain social interaction. You will be responsible for providing person centred support to the elderly and vulnerable. This opportunity allows you to flex with your work requirements.
Key services you will be able to provide with this opportunity:
- Undertaking domestic assistance, which may include cleaning, light housework and laundry assistance.
- Providing social support and transportation, assisting members to participate in their community and attend appointments.
- Shopping companionship/support
- Providing support in the kitchen through light meal preparation

Location:
Your work location will generally be up to you as you will be able to choose how far you would like to travel to undertake support for members. This immeditate need is in Pelican Waters.
Required:
- Right to work in Australia
- ABN
- Possess or be willing to obtain prior to starting, an Australian National Criminal Check and Working with Children's check.
- Your own reliable and fully insured vehicle
- Valid Driver’s License
- First Aid Certificate
- Access to and ability to use a smart phone & internet
- Have a professional approach, be accountable, reliable, compassionate and highly motivated
- Passionate about providing care to the elderly and those living with a disability
- Be cheerful and have excellent communication skill
Preferred:
- Possess or be willing to obtain if selected, an Aged Care Certificate- Level 3, or equivalent
- 6-12 months experience working in an aged care or home care setting
