The Role:

As a Community Registered Nurse with St. Louis, you will work as part of a supportive team in an environment that fosters positive connections. You will be helping St Louis’ much respected clients live a better-quality life staying as involved as possible whilst living in their own homes.

About You:

As an experienced Registered Nurse you will be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the care of the elderly and appreciation of their role in society and have a minimum of three years experience in aged care. You will be skilled in Dementia care and challenging behaviour management. You will possess a sound understanding of all legislative requirements, ethics and standards as well as ACFI and have the ability to complete all documentation and reporting based on St Louis policies and procedures. You will demonstrate a willingness to assist with the assessment and review of level 3 and 4 Community Clients as a part of your role. 

Selection of staff is based on qualifications, competence and character. 

To be successful in your application you will need:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current National Police Clearance for Aged Care
  • A sound understanding of Dementia care & Behaviour management
  • Understanding of legislative requirements, ethics and standards
  • Knowledge of Accreditation Standards;
  • Sound understanding of ACFI
  • Reliability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster
  • A strong command of English including excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to further undertake in-house education and training

Initially this role is offered on a casual basis with an anticipated progression to permanent part time.

Please note that if selected, at time of interview you must be able to provide proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia with no limitation of time available and evidence of 2020 Flu Vaccination.
