Career Opportunity:



We are looking for passionate and dedicated Nurses (RN & EEN) to join our Melbourne Health team as a Nurse Immuniser - COVID Vaccination Hub. This is a Fixed Term (3month) PT or FT position, based across our vaccination hubs here at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (Staff) and at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Wharf (community hub).



Shifts are managed by the NUM and allocated according to organisational need.



Nurse Immuniser - COVID Vaccination Hub works under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager and liaise with Melbourne Health Bank staff, MH Bank Manager, MH Bank Nurse Coordinator, Project Manager COVID Vaccination Campaign, Project Support Coordinators, Nursing Education, MH Multidisciplinary Teams, Parkville Precinct Partners, consumers and carers of consumers.



As an Nurse Immuniser - COVID Vaccination Hub you will be responsible for:




  • Clinical Governance; providing patients and the community safe, timely, effective, person-centred health care (STEP)

  • Maintaining a high standard of care; demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills relevant to your level of expertise

  • Delivering patient centred care; providing high quality of patient care by performing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with the patient, carer and the multidisciplinary team

  • Maintaining health and safety standards; managing risk and actively working towards implementing risk reduction strategies

  • Speaking up for Safety; raising concerns about safety in a respectful manner


 About You:


Formal Qualifications:


Casual Registered Nurse



  • Bachelor of Nursing

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia



 Essential:



  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

  • High motivation and willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct


Non-Essential:



  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse

  • Accredited Nurse Immuniser qualification with the Department of Health and Human & previous experience in Nurse Immuniser role
